One suitor in The Bachelorette 2016 Australia is apparently married, and his wife revealed who he really is.

The Bachelorette 2016 Australia contestant Rhys is vying to win Georgia Love’s heart while still married to 24-year-old Kelsi.  Apparently, Rhys and Kelsi tied the knot in the US in July 2014, but got separated a month later.  Rhys claimed he already filed for divorce and they are in the “final stages” of getting it finalized.

According to OK! Magazine, Kelsi flew to Brisbane after they married and returned back to the US after a few months. She claimed that despite their endless arguments, Rhys only requested to make their separation official earlier this year. Shortly after, he began filming for The Bachelorette 2016 Australia, which Kelsi claimed she did not even know about.

“He only cares about himself… and [he] should not be dating that beautiful girl Georgia,” she said.

This is not the first The Bachelor show Rhys tried to join in. He reportedly attempted to be The Bachelor a couple of years ago. However, he failed in the process when the production team found out he is married.

Courier Mail cited sources claiming the 29-year-old model/entrepreneur filed for divorce when the producers told him to do so if he wanted to be in the show.   A Warner Bros spokeswoman said they are aware of Rhys’ situation and was also informed about his divorce filing.

Meanwhile, Rhys released a statement via Channel Ten stating that he and Kelsi were once in love but their marriage did not work out. Rhys has clarified that they’ve been separated for two years now and the divorce is being finalized.

He also stressed that joining the reality show is his way of getting back into dating and finding love. He added that Georgia knew about his status and understands his reasons.

Will Rhys’ past affects Georgia’s feelings for him? Rhys is still in the game. Find out tonight if he will stay or get eliminated from the mansion.

The Bachelorette 2016 Australia airs every Wednesday and Thursday night at 7:30 pm on Channel Ten.
