Luke Pell could be the star of the Bachelor 2017, and the announcement is expected to be made soon.

Pell is the top favorite to land the gig. The 31-year-old war veteran made it to the final four of Bachelorette 2016 JoJo Fletcher’s season. He got eliminated after the hometown dates. During the rose ceremony, Luke dropped the L word on Fletcher. Luke also admitted during the Bachelorette 2016’s Men Tell All episode that he still loves Fletcher.

After Luke got eliminated, many hoped he will be named as the Bachelor 2017 star.

Even Fletcher believes Luke is the best man to be the next Bachelor. After The Final Rose special, host Chris Harrison asked Fletcher who among her exes she wants to get a second chance at finding love with. “If you ask me, personally, I think both Luke and Chase are great options. I think Robby is a great choice, too, but when I sent Luke home, America died. There was an overwhelming amount of support and love for him and I totally get it,” she said.

It seems we don’t have to wait for long to know who will be the star of Bachelor 2017. Show creator Mike Fleiss has hinted on several tweets that he will be revealing the man’s name for the role sooner than expected. The showrunner’s followers immediately asked him if his posts mean he will disclose the next Bachelor’s name within the day. Fleiss has yet to respond to his followers’ questions.

International Business Times noted that the ABC show could possibly reveal the name earlier than expected to avoid leaks. The franchise usually announces the name of the next Bachelor during the finale of the Bachelors in Paradise.

Other bachelors who are being considered for the lead role are runner-up Robby Haynes, Chase McNary, James McCoy Taylor and Wells Adams.
