Former “Teen Wolf” star Tyler Hoechlin has two big roles this year. One involves an erotic role for upcoming sequel “Fifty Shades Darker” while another is a small screen role as Superman in TV series “Supergirl” Season 2.

Melty reported that Tyler has never read any of the “Fifty Shades” books. Speaking to the Daily Mail Australia, the actor answered directly, “I have not read the books,” when he was spotted at the Sydney Film Festival. That won’t be much of a problem as the site noted reports that his role as Boyce Fox is “bigger than the brief part the character has in the book.”

Boyce Fox is known to be Anastasia’s former classmate. As he becomes Editor at Christian Grey’s publishing company, Boyce and Anna will get closer. Design & Trend mentioned that Anna will be very fond of him as she believes he deserves working in the company.

Meanwhile, Tyler is also set to star as Clark Kent in “Supergirl” Season 2. As reported on Daily Mail, it seems he isn’t pressured to being compared to previous actors who played the iconic role.

“I never try to compare and contrast performances because it’s such an iconic character already. Superman is Superman so I’m just going to try to carry on the tradition of that and play that part. I think the fun is going to be finding where Clark Kent is in this world. I’m just excited to find out Clark’s sense of humor,” he revealed to the site.

With two famous projects at hand, would it be impossible for Derek to return to Beacon Hills?

While Inquisitr noted that Executive Producer Jeff Davis is welcome to the idea of Derek’s return, Tyler claimed that he misses the role very much.

“I miss [playing] Derek very much,” Hoechlin admitted over the line during the “Teen Wolf” Comic Con Panel. “I really do. You guys [the fans] given us a lot of love. You guys are the best!”
