‘Teen Wolf’ Season 6 Is Final? Jeff Davis Hints New Show Title

“Teen Wolf” fans brace yourself for what’s to come as the show promises major changes in season six.

Showrunner Jeff Davis tagged the season six as “Teen Wolf 2.0.”

“It was another way for us to have Allison save Scott’s life, to show that these incredible relationships and bonds survive even after death. She can still save his life, even from beyond the grave. It was also a way of starting to hand the baton over to Teen Wolf 2.0,” Davis told TVLine.

The producer also revealed that Crystal Reed’s surprise return last season could be a way to introduce the new direction the show will take.

“It is a very different show now, so we acknowledged the past while also moving towards the future. We’re seeing our high school kids on the way to graduation. It’s a strange thing doing a teen show that lasts four seasons because they do eventually have to grow up. … I don’t think we want to have to change the title to Adult Wolf or Man-Wolf,” the producer added.

“Teen Wolf” has been renewed for the sixth season even before season five concluded earlier last month. However, it has not been given an air date, although it is expected to premiere in June.

Some changes in the cast are expected to happen in next season. In the upcoming “Teen Wolf” season 6, the former pack leader, Scott (Tyler Posey), Stiles (Dylan O’Brien), and the rest of the older members of the pack are set to leave for college. This creates speculation that the upcoming season run may be the show’s last, Vine Report noted. Davis addressed this rumour.

“Who knows if [that] will be the last season or not. [But] beyond season six, I’d love for someone else to take over the show. If it still has a life, if there’s still stories to tell, that would be great – [to] see maybe Dylan Sprayberry take over the role of the Teen Wolf and see Tyler Posey move into more of a Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) role. That would be the ‘Degrassi High’ version,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

Meanwhile, there were also speculations that the show is already grooming Dylan Sprayberry, who portrays Liam, as the new lead of the television show should “Teen Wolf” move forward.
