“Teen Wolf” creator Jeff Davis reveals how the MTV show, currently in its 5th season, will shape-up.
As noted by Digital&Trend, “Teen Wolf” wasn’t expected to be continued beyond its 5th season, but the channel has renewed the show for a 6th season. This leads many to wonder whether the show will continue beyond the 6th season or will that be the last installment.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Davis shared what more is in store for Scott, played by Tyler Posey, and the drama that the coming episodes and the season will pack. About continuing beyond the 6th season of the show, Davis told THR, “I have no idea. Who knows if (that) will be the last season or not.”
But there is more news for Tyler Posey fans, that even if the show continues into Season 7, Davis would like to see someone else in the forefront.
He said, “Beyond season six, I’d love for someone else to take over the show. If it still has life, if there’s still stories to tell, that would be great.”
If the next season pans out, Davis gave us a glimpse of sorts into his thoughts for season 7, he added, “(To) see maybe Dylan Sprayberry take over the role of the Teen Wolf and see Tyler Posey move into more of a Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) role. That would be the Degrassi High version.”
A change in the entire plot during the season 7 may probably not see Tyler Posey moving out of the show, but could mean Sprayberry taking over for the season. But season 7 is currently not on the minds of the creator and the cast, which is busy filming the season 5B – the second half of season 5.
As it turns out, plans for season 6 aren’t being spoken about either, Davis shared, “Usually, when someone starts to bring up season six, another person says, “I don’t even want to think about that right now.”
Fans can catch the episodes on “Teen Wolf” at 10 p.m. Mondays on MTV.
