‘Teen Wolf’ Season 6: Dylan O’Brien Leaving Show? Too Busy Making Other Projects

Teen Wolf

“Teen Wolf” star Dylan O’Brien has been rumoured to be leaving the MTV series since he is quite busy right now with several projects.

The cast of “Teen Wolf” has already started filming for season six but O’Brien is still missing in the set. The actor’s absence further fuel speculations that he will be replaced in the upcoming season. Several names came up as possible replacement for O’Brien. The list includes One Direction Harry Styles.

O’Brien, who plays Stiles Stilinski in “Teen Wolf,” took a break after he sustained injuries while filming “”The Maze Runner: The Death Cure.” This caused delay in the production of the movie. However, it was recently reported that he has resume filming for “Maze Runner.”

According to Yibada, there have been speculations that while there is supposed to be a major development in O’Brien’s character in “Teen Wolf,” he may actually end up leaving the show altogether.

Enstarz reported that aside from “Teen Wolf” and “The Maze Runner,” the young actor is also in talks to play Mitch Rapp in the movie adaptation of “American Assassin.” The site pointed out that O’Brien may have a hard time managing all three projects at the same time.

Deadline noted that CBS Films and O’Brien are still in negotiations for his role in “American Assassin.” However, the site also mentioned that the two parties are expected to ink a deal soon. If the project pushes through, O’Brien will star in “American Assassin” alongside Michael Keaton. The veteran actor is set to play Stan Hurley in the film adaptation of the Vince Flynn’s best-selling novel.

“Maze Runner: The Death Cure” is set to hit theatres on February 17, 2017, while premiere date for “Teen Wolf” season six has yet to be confirmed. Past seasons of the MTV series have all premiered in June.
