“Something’s changed with me and my friends, with all of us. And I think it’s because of me,” said Scott.

“Teen Wolf” episode 8 is titled “Ouroboros” which is an ancient symbol representing a serpent or dragon eating its own tail, according to Design & Trends. Since the symbol is linked with rebirth, it is commonly used in reference to phoenix.
The site also explained in season 4 episode 9, Deputy Haigh (Lou Ferrigno, Jr.) attempted to kill Parrish by setting him on fire. But Parrish survived the fire and was seen naked and covered in ash as he heading back to the sheriff’s station. Since then, there were speculations that he is a phoenix, a mythical bird that can be resurrected from its own ashes.
