If you’re quite the fan of Taylor Swift and you just can’t get enough of her tunes despite blasting them off from your speakers all day long or kicking it off with her tracks on repeat as your playlist for the entire day, then you probably need something more interactive. The pop sensation may have heard your prayers, and as such is getting her own video game developed by the makers of the widely popular Kim Kardashian: Hollywood mobile app.
Glu Mobile Inc., through a news release, has announced that it has made a multi-year partnership deal with the artist. However, details are still sparse at the moment, but Glu says that it will make a “one-of-a-kind digital gaming experience.” Taylor Swift has a massive number of social followers both in the offline and online world, and it would easily make a strategic sense in a business perspective for Glu Mobile to partner with the artist.
“We realize that Taylor and her global fan base expect a new and highly differentiated mobile gaming experience,” said Glu Chairman and CEO Niccolo de Masi. Glu wants to create unique, never before video game elements that fully utilise the creativity of the pop sensation. As such, the company is taking all of its time to ensure that it achieves its desired result.
Taylor Swift has been critically acclaimed for her albums that topped the charts. In her career, she has garnered 22 Billboard Music awards, 19 American Music Awards, seven Grammy awards, and so forth. The list just goes on.
The mobile game is set to be released globally later this year and it would be the very first game with Taylor Swift in it. The company will provide further details about the development of the as-yet-untitled game as well as to how Swift will be involved at a later date.
Taylor Swift joins a number of celebrities who have their own games including Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, and Linsay Lohan among others.
