Should we be expecting Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris to drop a hot, new track soon? The “Blank Space” songstress just celebrated her first anniversary with her hit making boyfriend last week. Are they marking year one with a song together?
According to The Sun, fans should not hold their breath for it. The “world’s biggest DJ and super producer” has turned down a chance to collaborate with Swift. This, despite the fact that she is currently the world’s “best-selling female artist.”
“They floated the idea of him working with Taylor but he politely declined it,” a source told The Sun. “Calvin has seen how sour things can turn when working with someone he’s dating. He is very serious about Taylor and doesn’t want to rock the boat. He’s smitten.”
According to The Mirror, the “We Found Love” producer might still be reeling from having worked with ex Rita Ora previously. The former couple worked on “I Will Never Let You Down.” Ora was then reportedly banned from performing the song after their split. It was written and produced by Harris. Ora’s music video for the song earned her a Brit Award for British Video in 2015. She lost to One Direction’s vid for “You and I.”
Ora and Harris dated for around a year, before splitting “suddenly” in 2014. The break-up was reportedly not amicable.
Sun’s source meanwhile confirmed Harris would be working on a song with Beyonce soon. “[Harris] is in talks with Beyonce as he’s always wanted the pair to work together. She is a big fan. He loved her feature on Naugthy Boy’s dance single Runnin’ last year.”
Do you think Taylor and Calvin should work on a song together? Or should the couple just do as The Sun suggests and stick to “making sweet music at home” instead?
