Could it be that Taeyeon is heartbroken? Or is this just a new music video?
Last January 27, Kim Tae-yeon released a minute-long teaser trailer for her latest song “Rain.” The video was uploaded in her official website and it featured a solemn black and white photo of the Korean singer as background, as well as black and white teaser images for the video of the song.
“Rain” features Taeyeon’s singing talent especially when it comes to soft ballad. The song is about letting the rain wash away the memories of a failed romance. The video shows the artist in shorter hair as her room is being flooded in reverse. She seems unfazed by the flood since her mind is drifting aimlessly, apparently thinking about a past lover.
More showcase of her sweet voice can be found in her extended play entitled “I” released October of last year. The short album ranked number 1 in the Gaon Album Chart and Billboard World Albums chart on its release. In its tracklist are the songs “U R”, “Gemini”, “Stress”, “Farewell” and the hit single “I” which includes an instrumental version.
According to Officially KMusic, The Girls’ Generation member’s upcoming single will be released through “Station,” SM Entertainment’s very own Spotify. The said digital single is expected to come out this coming February. For 52 weeks, a single from SM Entertainment’s other artists will be released exclusively in the online streaming platform.
“Rain” is the first of the many digitals SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo Man was talking about during the conference at SMTOWN: New Culture technology (NCT).
SM Digital Music Station will also be a venue for artists within and outside SM Entertainment to collaborate on a digital track.
With regards to her romantic relationship, she broke up with boy group EXO-K member Baekhyun last September 2015 as reported in Kpopstarz.
