Police have arrested two alleged Sydney drug dealers who used to trade drugs from their house located on Burwood Road in Croydon Park.
The men, aged 20 and 22, were arrested on Monday night after being chased by officers as well as their trained dogs. The police came to the spot when they were informed about some disturbance that was going on at almost 6:00pm. The men were arrested outside their drug-filled home.
A reputed media outlet has produced a video footage where one of the two accused persons was seen running down a street until he was made to fall on the ground by the dogs and officers. Police followed the men as soon as they noticed them leaving their home. When the two were caught at home, one of them tried to escape but was caught by the officers, as depicted in the video.
When the police officers searched the home, they found cannabis plants there along with a complete hydroponic setup.
One of the neighbors told 9News that their place was believed to be a drug setup. “I saw many people coming out of the house but I had no idea what went on, and I called the neighbor and they said there must be drug dealing going on,” she said.
Police have confirmed that the two suspects were cooperating in the inquiries and investigation. They may face relevant charges soon.
Sydney always remains in the news due to drug-busting operations led by police. Recently, two Canadian women were alleged of seizing almost 95 kilograms of cocaine from a ship that docked in Sydney Harbour. The three of them, 23-year-old Melina Roberge, 28-year-old Isabelle Lagace and 63-year-old Andre Tamine, have been put in police custody after their involvement in the import of drugs was discovered.
The Sydney drug dealing trio is supposed to face life imprisonment and were refused bail this week, reported CNN.
