Microsoft will be announcing its upgraded version of the Surface Pro tablet with enhanced hardware and different screen sizes.
According to CNET, the company will be launching the regular 12 inch display variant and also a 13 or 14 inch variant to be competitive with Apple’s MacBook Pro. The new Surface Pro 4 will be powered by the latest series of Quad-core Skylake based highly efficient Intel Core processors with HD 530 Graphics Engine for ultimate display experience. There were some roomers that Apple is also planning to roll out these processors in their upcoming version of MacBook Pro, but seem like Microsoft is one step ahead for its launch.
Users who currently have the Surface 3 and are planning to go for Surface Pro 4 but are scared of accessories compatibility don’t have to worry. According to Microsoft’s claim, all the Surface Pro 3 accessories will be fully compatible with the latest version of 12 inch Surface Pro 4. The device was designed while keeping the compatibility factor at the top of the requirement stack.
Apart from the processor and display size, there are no signs of other hardware upgrades. As per reports on TechRadar, as a default accessory, an upgraded version of the Surface Pen will be bundled with latest version of Windows Operating System.
Surface Pro will be available in different processor architecture variants with different ram and SSD storage capacities, much like the Surface Pro 3 which is available in i3, i5, i7 Intel Processors with 128/256 and 512 GB SSD storage.
While Microsoft has not officially announced the availability of Surface Pro 4, various sources had constantly discussed the possibility of new product specification and release dates.
Apart from the new Surface Pro 4 launch, Microsoft is also expected to announce its new Lumia series phones: Lumia 950 and Lumia 950XL.
