Spoilers for Supergirl Season 2 reveal that there are five new characters who will descend on National City as the series transfers from CBS to CW. The transfer is seen as a good move since the network already owns many DC characters who can make an appearance anytime.

One of the new characters is named Nick Farrow who doesn’t get along with Kara at first. He is described as the son of a famed reporter who’s trying to make a name for himself and separate from his father. However, Nick is also quite selfish, according to Supergirl Season 2 spoilers from TVLine. He also loves life a bit too much, which means his personality clashes with Kara.

“In hanging out with Kara, the hero in Nick might finally come out,” the description added.

Another addition is going to be the sister of Lex Luthor who is described to be in the “25-35-year-old range” who transferred to National City to get away from her brother. She is “sexy and smart and determined to get what she wants.”

TV Guide revealed that the three other characters include a lady doctor who is the leader of Project Cadmus, which experiments with prisoners to become metahumans. The other one is Snapper Carr who will be tapped by Calista Flockhart to help the newsroom shape up. This casting led to the speculation that the former Ally McBeal star won’t be coming back in Season 2. The actress has yet to comment on the issue.

Previous Supergirl Season 2 spoilers from Buddy TV revealed that that Superman will finally make an appearance in the series, and producers are in the process of casting the Man of Steel. Tom Welling has said in January this year that nobody has approached him to reprise his role as Superman to guest-appear in the new series.
