The recent update on Supergirl will make fans jump from excitement. As per the buzz, there will be a crossover between Supergirl and Flash once again. They had already teamed up earlier. This time around, this clubbing will be for two musical episodes that will be shown at some point in the coming season.
From the time Supergirl switched from CBS to the CW, it was kind of expected that it is going to connect to the closely knit television world that the network has brought together. This coming season, the musical episodes will feature another huge crossover in the works involving the network’s slate of other DC adaptations The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow.
Melissa Benoist of Supergirl, as well as Grant Gustin of The Flash, have a background in music. Both of them were seen in the show Glee. Other supporting cast members also have great musical skills. Jesse L. Martin, who plays Joe West in The Flash, is quite popular for the role of Tom Collins in Rent on Broadway. Meanwhile, Jeremy Jordan (Supergirl’s Winn) was featured in the Broadway production of Newsies and the film version of The Last Five Years. Likewise, Carlos Valdes of Flash has released numerous EPs under the name Tha Los.

During the Television Critics Association press tour, Greg Berlanti, the executive producer of all CW’s DC shows, mentioned, “They’re going to be mostly preexisting songs.” He also said that they will try to incorporate at least one original score each episode. He briefed that the two episodes are going to air sometime in the “back half of the year,” reported The Verge.
In CW’s superhero lineup, Supergirl and The Flash have always been the lighthearted shows. If by any chance, the Supergirl and Flash crossover can pull something lively from last year’s Flash / Supergirl episode, it will be a great dose of fun for the fans.
