Award-winning actor Jared Leto revealed his unique way of perfecting the infamous Joker’s cackle for “Suicide Squad” – he tested his laugh in the streets of New York and Toronto.
“I worked on the laugh walking around the streets of New York and Toronto, and I kinda would walk around the streets and see what laughs would get under people’s skin. You know when you hear someone laugh at a restaurant? It’s a little jarring. I tried them out. And I kind of got to a place where I would laugh and people are always turning around like, ‘Who is this creepy guy behind me?’” the actor said.
Leto’s interpretation of The Joker looks creepy enough. But the question now is that would it be enough to scare fans? Could it be levelled to what the late Heath Ledger’s Joker did in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” in 2009?

Jared Leto has been known to fully immerse himself in every character he portrays. For instance, he shed 40 pounds for his Oscar-winning role in “Dallas Buyers Club. In “Suicide Squad,” he sent a live rat to Margot Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn while filming in the movie, Variety noted.
Viola Davis, who plays the role of Amanda Waller, recently revealed how “crazy” Leto is. “He did some bad things, Jared Leto did. He gave some really horrific gifts. He had a henchman, who would come into the rehearsal room, and the henchman – he came into the room with a dead pig and plopped it on the table, and then he walked out. That was our introduction to Jared Leto,” she said.
The “How To Get Away With Murder” star however, acknowledged that his antics inspired her to step up her own game on the movie. “And I’m terrified, just as a person, thinking ‘is he crazy?” the actress added.
“Suicide Squad” will be in theatres on August 5, 2016. Meanwhile, DC’s latest film “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” is now playing in U.S. theatres.
