“Suicide Squad” star Jared Leto is crazier than you think he is, like the Joker character he plays for the upcoming DC Extended Universe film.

In a video interview with Vanity Fair, Viola Davis revealed how crazy Leto is. She confirmed earlier rumours about Leto’s terrifying commitment to portray the role of Joker.

Screen Rant noted that rumours had it that Leto had taken to acting out his character’s bizarre behaviour in real life. By doing so, it included playing pranks on his co-actors.

Davis revealed how the Oscar-winning actor terrorised his co-star Margot Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn in the movie. The “How To Get Away With Murder” star recalled the story of how Robbie “screamed” after receiving a live black rat from Leto and when he sent his co-stars a dead pig.

“He did some bad things, Jared Leto did. He gave some really horrific gifts. He had a henchman, who would come into the rehearsal room, and the henchman – he came into the room with a dead pig and plopped it on the table, and then he walked out. That was our introduction to Jared Leto.”

She however acknowledged that his antics inspired her to step up her own game on the movie. “And I’m terrified, just as a person, thinking ‘is he crazy?’ But the second part was, ‘oh shit, I’ve got to have my stuff together,” the actress added.

Davis plays the role of Amanda Waller, the woman behind the creation of a group of incarcerated supervillains who will use their abilities for “high-risk covert operations” in return of a pardon.

Last month, DC released “Suicide Squad” trailer which showed how “crazy” the latest Joker is and how good Leto is in portraying a villainous character.

“Suicide Squad” will hit theatres on August 5, 2016. The film also stars Will Smith as Deadshot and Cara Delevigne as Enchantress.
