Kirsten Storms confirms via Instagram that she is taking a break from her show General Hospital. She reasons that the break is due to some skin issues caused by stress.

A few weeks ago, Kirsten Storms and her husband Brandon Barash confirmed the divorce.

The actress explained on Instagram that the bad skin on her face had turned too much for the show to cover up, notes Just Jared.

‘Tweeters! First, thank you for the outpouring of love & support,” the 31-year-old actress wrote.

“I appreciate all the positive message I’ve received… I am taking a little break from work due to some skin issues I’ve been having,” she added.

Storms said, “My Dr says my breakouts are due to stress, but shouldn’t take too long to get under control. (I can say that I’m on the better end of it now).

However, it was becoming too difficult for GH to cover up. And we all know in this biz appearance is important. In the meantime, I look forward to watching Molly on screen as I take the next few weeks to heal.”

For almost 16 years, Storms has been a fixture on daytime soaps. It all started from Days of Our Lives in 2000 and as Maxie Jones on General Hospital since 2005.

It was during the show that Storms saw her real-life husband and started dating him. Last month, she declared their split, notes the Daily Mail.

Storms ended her relationship with Barash amicably, saying, “We are getting along, and I would say enjoying each other’s company more now that we don’t have the pressure of what comes with a relationship added on to that.”

The couple married in June 2013 and has a two-year-old daughter named Harper. They also underwent therapy for quite some time as an effort to work on their relationship issues. Ultimately, they realized that the marriage was over.

“We’ve decided that raising our daughter in two separate homes would be a healthier choice for all of us,” said her husband Barash.
