This is a much-awaited news for the avid gamers, the date for the launch of “Street Fighter 5” for PS4 has been revealed at the Paris Games Week. The popular title will be released on: 16th February, 2016.
Along with announcing the release date, Capcom has also shared details of the “post-launch character plans.” Ardent gamers have had the opportunity to test the waters, or rather the streets with the game’s beta version which was rolled out last Oct. 22 and ran through to Oct. 25.
Now, the post-launch will witness the addition of not one but six new characters. Those not in the know, the gameplay related content made available post-launch can only bought with Fight Money.
Furthermore, the favorite Dhalsim will also be joining the pool of existing characters and of course a few news ones. The six characters by the company will be revealed after the launch of the title in 2016.
While it may not seem like it to gamers, but it really isn’t that long a wait for the game particularly since there will be more information to be released. Come February, more details will begin to surface, with curtains being lifted-off one new character every two months.
The company shared, “We have confirmed that we will be releasing 6 new characters post-launch in 2016, which will bring the total roster up to 22 characters by the beginning of 2017. On average, we will release one new character every two months, provided everything stays on track with our development schedule. More specifics will be shared when our post-launch plans are confirmed.” Fans can keep an eye out for more updates in the future.
As noted by the Denver Post, Dhalsim will be seen joining Karin, Ken, M. Bison, Nash, R. Mika, Ryu, Birdie, Cammy, Chun-Li, Vega and Zangief. The roster will also feature the three very new characters including Laura, Necalli and Rashid. Reportedly, there is another yet-to-be announced character by Capcom and ardent gamers may hear about it sooner rather than later.
Gamers may probably be delighted to see the new look of the characters, which is really neat.
