The Internet outcry to bring back Barb will finally be answered in Stranger Things Season 2. It may not be what fans would have wanted but somehow, Barb’s presence will be felt in Season 2.
Actor David Harbour teased during New York Comic Con’s Inside the Upside Down panel that Barb will never be forgotten in Season 2. He confirmed that Barb is dead but added that the show will give a resolution surrounding her unexpected demise.
“We do deal with the loose ends in Season 2 and we do deal with some of the Internet rage over Barbs’ death … “I can assure you Barb is very much dead,” Polygon quoted the actor as saying. Harbour played the role of police chief Jim Hopper in Netflix’s hit ’80s sci-fi thriller.
Show co-creator Matt Duffer previously assured that there will be justice for Barb in Stranger Things Season 2.
How about Eleven? Is she dead?
Harbour hinted that although the telepathic teen appeared to be dead in Season 1, Eleven will definitely appear in the next season. Remember, Chief Hopper leaves Eggos in the woods in the finale of the previous season. This is a major hint that the Eggo-loving teen is still alive. Young actress Millie Bobby Brown played the role Eleven.
Harbour added Hopper and Eleven will somehow develop a father-and-daughter relationship in Season 2. The actor said his character will also deal with his guilt over losing his daughter. He teased that Hopper will be going through an interesting emotional arc in Season 2.
Meanwhile, Harbour also revealed in an interview with TheWrap that Matt and Ross Duffer also wrote an episode about “pollywog.”
The creature, which is also known as tadpole, is an offspring of an amphibian. In the Season 1 finale, Will Byers coughed up a tadpole-sized creature into his bathroom sink.
The Duffer brothers earlier said the Upside Down world will be explored further in Season 2. Is the pollywog going to be Will’s connection to the Demogorgon?
