The Steam Summer Sale has begun. The sale runs until July 4 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time so there is plenty of time to take advantage of discounts on thousands of games, software and videos.
“Grand Theft Auto V” is now only $36. “GTA V” was recently updated with the new Adversary Mode Power Play, which allows users the opportunity to boost themselves and their friends with six power-ups.
The power-ups are temporary so they need to be used wisely. GTA V debuted in 2014 and was the number two selling game this January.
“This is the third consecutive January where Grand Theft Auto V was a Top 5 title,” says David Riley of the market research company NPD Group. “Astonishingly, the game has moved up in ranking placement from fifth place in January 2014, to third in January 2015 and to the second-best selling game in January 2016.”
The promo also shaves up to 40 percent from the new “Doom”, which is now available for $36. The video game is the fourth title in the “Doom” series, a first-person shooter game.
“Fallout 4” is now just $30. The post-apocalyptic action role-playing video game has received positive reviews since its release in November 10, 2015.
According to Forbes, about 75 percent has been slashed off the “Deus Ex franchise”. The critically acclaimed “Deus Ex” is now $1.64. Since its release, it has been hailed as one of the best games out there.
Its equally impressive and exciting follow-up “Deus Ex: Human Revolution” is now $8.24. Just like “Deus Ex”, “Deus Ex: Human Revolution” has also been received with critical acclaim.
The Steam Summer Sale also gives discount between 50 and 67 percent off the “Call of Duty” games. Since its release, “Call of Duty” has sold over 175 million copies, registering up to $10 billion in sales.
You can also save 30 percent on “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain”, now available for $28. The action-adventure game has been awarded with a game score of 10/10 by IGN.
“Stardew Valley” received a 20% price cut. The farming simulation role-playing video game is now US$11.99 ($16.22).
The popular Lego video games have also received a price cut between 30 percent to 75 percent. The “Assassins Creed” franchise has also been discounted between 35 percent to 75 percent.
