“Episode VII” left us in a cliffhanger and a big question about Rey’s origin. Some have guessed that she is Luke Skywalker’s daughter while others think that she is a descendant of Obi-Wan Kenobi. On the other hand, no one seems to ask who her mother is, so a report has been written that she might be revealed in “Star Wars: Rogue One” film.
The movie showed us that Rey was abandoned in Jakku but her parent’s identity is still under wraps. For that, Movie Pilot have a plausible guess that they are Rogue members. According to the website, her parents or her mother might be called as Lyra Erso.
“Rogue One,” which is currently in the works, has an interesting lead character played by Felicity Jones. She is said to be one of the characters who lead the mission to find the lost Death Star plans that hold an important key to the story of A New Hope.
The wild guess about Rey and Erso’s connection has been supported with a plausible clue. According to the website, Rey’s British RP accent and casting the English actress Felicity Jones is one. More than that, Jones’ physical resemblance to Daisy Ridley could be one more solid hint that she will portray the role of Rey’s mother.
Should this be true, the website stated that Lucasfilm made a smart and seamless move to introduce Rey’s origin to “Rogue One” before Episode VIII arrives.
In other “Rogue One” news, Darth Vader is said to be having a big role in the upcoming film. As per JoBlo report, incorporating Vader in the much-awaited film is still logical because he is “one of the most famous characters in cinematic history.”
Stay tuned for more exciting news before “Star Wars Rogue One” kicks off in theaters on Dec. 15, 2017.
