The latest photos reportedly reveal the “Star Wars Rogue One” Darth Vader cameo fans are raving about. For quite some time now, many are speculating that the supervillain will make an appearance, but nothing has been confirmed until now.
While the newest leaked “visual story guide” are still unofficial, sources are claiming that this could be the closest clue anyone can have about Darth Vader’s role in the movie. As the fan site, Making Star Wars claimed, Welsh actor Spencer Wilding will be playing Vader in the standalone flick, with James Earl Jones returning to provide the character’s voice.
As Melty reported, the newest trailer for the Star Wars standalone movie might have hinted Darth Vader getting a massive overhaul- new limbs and all. The report also speculated that Luke Skywalker’s father might actually get a new suit similar to the one he donned in “A New Hope.”
“One source is certain that the blue tank we see in the teaser has Darth Vader inside it,” Making Star Wars’ Editor-in-Chief Jason Ward claimed. “They believe a sequence was filmed in which Darth Vader gets his limbs interchanged and repaired in the movie.”
Apart from “Star Wars Rogue One” Darth Vader theories, Jedi News recently revealed the other cast members who will reportedly join Felicity Jones and Mads Mikkelsen in the movie. The following characters are reportedly confirmed to be part of the Rebel crew:
- Diego Luna is Captain Cassian Andor, a Rebel Alliance Officer.
- Jiang Wen is Baze, a freelance assassin.
- Riz Ahmed is Bodhi, another rebel soldier.
- Donnie Yen is Chirrut, a spiritual warrior.
- Pao and Bistan, two fierce warrior alien characters, both with no actor names attached.
iO9 also teased the addition of two new ships in the movie. “The Rebels continue to plunder the alphabet with the U-Wing, while the Empire adds the TIE Striker,” the report noted.
