New content and features for “Star Wars Battlefront” in platforms Playstation 4, PC and Xbox One are now live.

A new map, called “Twilight on Hoth,” has been added which means Star Wars users can now do battle in the snow-filled planet with Blast, Drop Zone, Fighter Squadron, Heroes vs Villains, Supremacy, Turning Point and Walker Assault game modes. According to Polygon, it is more difficult to see enemies from afar at night time.

Hoth is the location of the Rebel Alliance’s Echo Base where the Galactic Empire pursued the Rebels with their colossal machines called AT-AT walkers in “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.”

“Survival in the Ice Caves” is the most recent mission which will have players thread as if on thin ice in different game modes like Forest of Endor, Jundland Wastes, Outpost Beta and SoroSuub Centroplex.

Seeing that the new content will have more snow particles, the patch includes a film grain filter in the video menu where players can adjust the slider to optimize the amount of grain on the screen.

Jakku DLC has been patched within the game, which means players no longer have to download it from the store. Those who already have it may delete the additional content from their hard drive to free some space, as suggested by IGN.

Regular fixes and changes have also been made in order to facilitate a more balanced gameplay. For instance, it’s now easier to take down an A-Wing with its hitbox increased and will take proper damage when clashing with an AT-AT with its shield activated. GONK Droid has also been included in the Attract Mode Cinematics. Moreover, disabling music in the Sound menu will now turn off music in any parts of the game.

Star Wars Battlefront is a shooter game which features both first and third person perspectives developed by EA DICE along with Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts. It was released last year in November.
