The “Star Wars: Battlefront 2” video footage was spotted recently after EA confirmed the sequel’s release in 2018.
“Star Wars” official Twitter account shared a video clip of somewhat a new game every avid player should watch out for. According to some, this may be the sequel of “Star Wars: Battlefront” gameplay.
Game Informer cited that EA announced the new “Star Wars” lineup this coming E3. Jade Raymond, head of EA Motive, confirmed this info during the press conference.
The said press conference was reported to be ahead of the coming E3 2016 since EA organized another event for their exclusive fans to see what’s next for EA Games.
During the EA Play Show, they revealed that fans could get the new installment of “Star Wars: Battlefront 2” in the next year. If delayed, it would be in 2018 instead.
Following the confirmation, several video clips from the gameplay were released. One of those were shared in their Twitter account.
She said, “Next year, you’ll get a new installment of ‘Star Wars Battlefront,’ and we’re listening to the fans, and will add new content including content from the new films.”
These films include “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” and “Star Wars Episode 8,” EA stated.
However, though the EA Motive executive producer has affirmed of its development, many doubted if the gameplay would include a single-player content.
Comic Book noted that with a single-player content, many fans would love to play “Star Wars: Battlefront 2” since this feature is the most requested and demanded.
Aside from the highly sought single-player mode of the game, fans got a peek of some lightsaber mo-cap sessions for the game as well.
The same source also noted several concept art and gameplay footages from another upcoming “Star Wars” project. This time, the game would be from Respawn Entertainment.
It sounds like fans could expect many “Star Wars” projects this week during the nearing E3 game exhibition.
