News about the upcoming “Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens” revealed that there might be a new AT-AT Walker. It was also reported that the film’s cast and crew will return to Skellig Michael Island in Ireland to finish some scenes.
A new teaser for “Star Wars 7” was released on August 9 thru Star Wars Korea YouTube channel. The 30-second trailer features a sneak peak of the villain’s full force, according to Los Angeles Times.
The clip also provides us with the possible new look at the AT-AT Walker (All Terrain Armored Transport). The site noted that the newly remodeled combat vehicle of the First Order seems to be a combination of the AT-AT and AT-TE (All Terrain Tactical Enforcer).
Lucasfilm Manager and Star Wars avid fan Matt Martin also noted that the possible new AT-AT seems to have their necks “absent.”
J.J. Abrams and the rest of Star Wars team have yet to confirm the news.
Meanwhile, according to Jedi News, the cast and crew of the film will return to Skellig Michael Island in Mid September for “pick-up shots”. The film crew were not able to finish all of the scenes required at the location due to bad weather previously.
“We also learnt during our trip that the crew of The Force Awakens would be returning to Skellig Michael in mid September for pickup shots, apparently owing to the fact that the weather was not perfect for them during the original shoot,” the site noted.
“Four days of filming are planned, from the 14th September, but they have until the end of the season on the 30th to get the required shots.”
Skellig Michael Island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
