To keep the hype going for Star Fox Zero Nintendo will be launching an animated short that will be streaming live this Wednesday at around 3 p.m. PT (Thursday 8 a.m in Australia). The animated short will premiere way ahead of the “Star Fox Zero” game launch which is scheduled on Friday for the Nintendo Wii U.
Game Director Shigeru Miyamoto will be collaborating with WIT Studio and Production I.G., the same studio behind the anime series “Attack on Titan,” “Guilty Crown,” “Psycho-Pass” and “Ghost in The Shell.” Polygon shares the story about the “Star Fox Zero” Animation.
The animated short will focus on the story in “Star Fox Zero” and will feature the three main casts of the “Star Fox” team; leader Fox McCloud along with his trusty companions Falco Lombardi, Slippy Toad and Peppy Hare. So far no other details were mentioned, with the exception of presenting a teaser trailer to give fans an idea of what the animated short would look like. The most recent “Star Fox” game was for the Nintendo 3DS in 2011 called Star Fox 64 3D, which was a remastered version for the 1997 Nintendo 64 game.
“Star Fox Zero” will be available on April 22 for the Nintendo Wii. It will also be bundled with the “Star Fox Guard” mini-game. Expect to see the animated short for Star Fox Zero on Nintendo’s YouTube channel.
