Spiderman Homecoming director Jon Watts and Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi recently hinted on Twitter of that possibility. It all started when Watts asked Waikiki about the possible participation of Spiderman in the Thor 3 movie.
Waititi then tweeted back and admitted that he would need to borrow Holland for one or two scenes. He also teased that the superhero may not be returned in best condition.
The joke went a little dark when Watts tweeted back with Brad Pitt’s photo from David Fincher’s 1995 film Se7en. For those who haven’t seen the movie, the psychopath killer (Kevin Spacey) in the movie sent Detective David Mills (Pitt) a box. Mills pleads with Detective Lieutenant William Somerset (Morgan Freeman) to reveal what’s in the box. It was later revealed that the killer murdered Mills’ wife Tracy (Gwyneth Paltrow) and her head was in it.
The exchange could just be a joke too many, but we are not discounting the likelihood of Peter Parker’s appearance in the Thor 3 movie.
The Thor: Ragnarok cast may also be full but who knows if they can make room for another one. Thor 3 movie is not due to hit theaters until November 2017 so everything is still possible. Peter Parker and his alter ego earlier appeared in Captain America: Civil War.
Thor 3 movie stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk/Bruce Banner). Idris Elba will also reprise his role as Heimdall and Anthony Hopkins as Odin. Cate Blanchett will be playing Hela. Tessa Thompson will portray Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster and Karl Urban as Skurge.
The two Marvel movies are currently filming in separate locations. Spiderman is in Atlanta, while Thor is in Australia.
Meanwhile, Ruffalo has wrapped up filming his part in Thor: Ragnarok. The actor shared on Instagram a photo of himself alongside director Waititi. In another picture, Ruffalo was seen staring into the eyes of The Hulk.
