Sony Xperia fans in Australia won’t have to wait long before the flagship devices — Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium — begin shipping to the country.
The Australian release date as well as the pricing of the phones has been revealed. According to News.com.au, Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact will be hitting shelves as early as next week.
Those wanting to get their hands on either of the two devices can do so through the three leading carriers – Optus, Vodafone and Telstra.
The devices will also be available for purchase outright through JB Hi-Fi and Sony kiosks across Australia as well as Dick Smith.
The pricing on the Xperia Z5 Compact, sporting a 4.6-inch, begins at $849. The range for the 5.2-inch Xperia X5 starts at $999.
As for the Xperia Z5 Premium, it will be out in November for those eagerly awaiting fans looking to get hold of the first phone ever to possess a 4K screen.
As per report on Gizmodo, this 5.5-inch device will begin retailing at a price of $1199. Users will also have the option to put in additional $79 for Sony noise-cancelling headphones with the Z5 Premium.
The entire lineup will be seen sporting the Xperia Omnibalance design would arrive dipped in a variety of shades.
All the three devices are water resistant and each boasts of a mean 23MP camera on its back. The devices are faster with the eight-core processors onboard and a two-day battery life is another major plus.
John Featherstone, Sony Mobile Communications Head of Business Development for APAC told News.com.au, “We’re tapping into Sony’s ecosystem to deliver the best performance in areas we know best — cameras, screens and gaming.”
He shared, “If you compare the Z5 to other brands, we obviously have a higher resolution screen, faster autofocus and the ability to Remote Play PlayStation games on your phone.”
