Apple users will now be corrected by Siri if they refer to Caitlyn Jenner as Bruce.
The Cupertino-based company must have taken her request sincerely after hearing her speech at the 2015 ESPY after receiving the Arthur Ashe Courage Award on Wednesday night.
“If you want to call me names, make jokes, doubt my intentions, go ahead. The reality is, I can take it,” Jenner said, quotes USA Today.
As a former athlete and a transgender who advocates for equality, the “I Am Cait” star “calls for acceptance”.
“It’s about what happens from here. It’s not just about one person. It’s about thousands of people. It’s not just about me. It’s about all of us accepting one another,” another USA Today report noted.
Now that Caitlyn’s voice was heard. Apple somehow took a leap.
The same source states that when Apple users ask Siri a question about Bruce Jenner, it will automatically be corrected to “Caitlyn”. For example:
However, questions about her achievement as a former athlete will still be “Bruce”. Take a look:
Several Twitter users expressed the recognition of Bruce as Caitlyn “was a win”. However, Apple has not commented on the news yet.
