Fans of “Sherlock” Season 4 can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the franchise has made some new announcements. The filming for the upcoming season will be started in Morocco, and it’s been highly speculated that Tom Hiddleston will be joining the cast.
It was earlier publicized by series co-creator Steven Moffat that Toby Jones from “Harry Potter” series will be joining the “Sherlock” team on Season 4 as a villain. “Delighted to have Toby Jones on board, bringing to life one of Doyle’s finest villains,” expressed Moffat about Jones. Yet it has not been specified which mysterious baddie he would be, according to Breathe Cast
With this comes another surprise. The entertainment rumor mill advocates that the lineup will have “Night Manager” star Tome Hiddleston on board any time soon. Loki from “Thor” will possibly play Sherriford Holmes, Sherlock’s brother. Stories about his entry into the series began to make rounds after series creator Mark Gatiss communicated in a previous interview that he would love to take Hiddleston on board. Well, if rumors turn into reality, then it might be a double treat for fans who have been waiting eagerly for some solid news about “Sherlock’s” next chapter. Tom Hiddleston is also one of the most potent contenders to play the next 007 super spy replacing Danial Craig.
While the franchise has not yet given a detailed report, this little piece of information is enough for the time being to make a whoop. It was conveyed a while ago that the first episode of Season 4 was already completed and that production work in Cardiff, Wales started to progress in April. Relevant sources reveal that the second episode is in full swing at present while the scenes to be filmed in Morocco will be part of either the third or the fourth episode.
