“Seven Year Switch” 2016 contestants Brad and Tallena Johnston got married at the Pelican Waters Golf Resort and Spa on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast in mid-April. Now, they have shared a photograph of their most-awaited moment on their social media (Instagram) page.
“The best day of our lives!” the couple captioned the photo on their joint account. “My best friend, my rock, my happiness #sevenyearswitch #wedding #love #bestfriends #strength #picoftheday #loveyou #happiness #beautifulday”.
Although the big wedding story was a secret to many until the reunion special episode of the show, Women’s Day published pictures of the Queensland pair walking down the aisle a month ago, News reports.
The holy ceremony was attended by 70 invitees including family and friends. “The past few months have made Brad and Tallena stronger than ever, and you could tell they are genuinely in love,” one of the wedding guests revealed to the magazine. The invitee continued, “It was very romantic and they couldn’t stop laughing, smiling and kissing all day. It was beautiful.”
When the four reality show couples met each other on the post-finale episode, Tallena couldn’t hold back her joy and confirmed they got married, saying: ‘It was good, it was really good.”
On the show, their relationship seemed to be beyond repair, but it healed majorly through Tallena’s forgiving heart. She overlooked Brad’s selfish controlling tendencies and gave the relationship a fair chance to work.
The odd and debated method of ‘switch therapy’ appears to have worked miraculously for the couple’s damaged relationship, with them finally tying the knot.
Mail explains, the duo was supposed to get married a month ago. However, Tallena confessed that due to insufficient funds, the wedding got postponed.
‘It takes five minutes to say ‘I do’ and that is costing us $1,000?’ Brad was heard yelling at Tallena.
The 28-year-old communications manager and former model then revealed that Brad had gone behind her back and spent $3,000 on a brand-new second television.
‘It’s all well and good to go out and buy a flashy car and having a big TV and a jet ski, but then he turns around and says he doesn’t want to spend much money on the wedding,’ she said.
The lovebirds, who met on Tinder in 2014, kissed each other ‘Hollywood-style’ after exchanging vows.
