Selena Gomez is rocking the stage with her “Revival” tour. Pictures and videos of fans from her concert clearly show everyone having a good time so what happened at her recent Fresno stop last May 7 came as a shock.
Selena Gomez had kicked off her “Revival” tour concert. After a few songs into the show, Gomez called a fan onto the stage. However, it wasn’t for an Adele-like surprise to sing with the fan, rather it was because of the sign the fan held up for her that said “Marry Justin Please.” Gomez took the sign from the girl then crumpled it and threw it aside, Just Jared reported.
HollywoodLife surmised the singer likely got distracted by it, hence, her decision to call the fan to get hold of the sign. Perhaps Gomez wasn’t feeling the Jelena love at the time, the publication added. The act, described by the HollywoodLife as “epic,” was caught on video by other fans who were equally taken aback by what happened. The hashtag #revivaltourfresno appeared on Twitter along with various videos of Gomez crushing the wishes of Jelena fans.
E! News spoke with the fan who brought the sign who revealed her message for Gomez “wasn’t meant to be mean.” “She didn’t mention anything after. I got my paper back, though. It wasn’t meant to be mean. I love Selena and Justin, and love them together as well. It was the second to the last song that it happened. She put on a great show though,” the fan said.
However, while fans mourn their dreams for a Jelena wedding, Vanity Fair hailed Selena Gomez as a “hero to women everywhere.” The publication even added “national treasure” to the actress/singer/executive producer’s list of credentials.
Women should learn how to handle anybody who tries to bring up a past romance “without their permission.” Gomez handled the situation like a pro and “she walked away and continued singing,” the publication remarked. Even her BFF Taylor Swift wants her to ban JB. However, Selena Gomez can’t seem to quit the Biebs as she seemingly sings about him in her new song called “Feel Me.”
