Selena Gomez might have shared wonderful memories of her romance with Justin Bieber in her latest song “Feel Me”. Hence, it would appear their relationship wasn’t all about heartache. Moreover, it could explain why she can’t quite quit him yet.
Her relationship with Justin Bieber inspired Selena Gomez to write “Feel Me”, HollywoodLife reported. Gomez hoped that doing so would give her the closure she desired in order to get over him. However, a source told the publication that her walk down memory lane might have “had the opposite effect”.
“Selena took inspiration from her romance with Justin, and when she wrote ‘Feel Me’ she hoped that it would give her some sort of closure from him. However, it’s really had the opposite effect because she’s also remembering all the amazing times they had together and revisiting the connection they had and still have,” the source revealed.
Selena Gomez shared a snippet of the lyrics of her new sexy song “Feel Me” earlier. Her line “Do you stay up late/ just so you don’t dream?” raised speculation among Jelena fans at the time. HollywoodLife cited another line from the song “And now you’re telling me you miss me” from the song that could be in connection with an old pic that Bieber posted as a throwback, the publication surmised in another post.
Gomez kicked off her “Revival Tour” recently. She is particularly proud of these upcoming series of shows as she performs new music that she also wrote for the album. However, fans might not hear her other Bieber-inspired hit on the tour, Entertainment Weekly wrote.
“There are things that I can’t do. I won’t be performing this [“The Heart Wants What It Wants”] on this tour because I don’t want to. It’s like when you smell a scent and it takes you back to a place that maybe wasn’t the best place. That stuff is a little bit more difficult,” Gomez said.
