Selena Gomez joins the cast of “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” and she may possibly be dating Zac Efron’s character in the movie.
Gomez was spotted filming a scene in Atlanta, Georgia where her sorority sisters surprised her with what appears to be a Volkswagen convertible.
Entertainment Tonight reported Selena, who looks hot in a body-hugging pink dress, plays a sorority sister in the movie.
According to Hollywood Life, Selena might be heading the new sorority that moves in the campus since the guys — Zac Efron and Dave Franco — graduated from college in the first film.
Chloë Grace Moretz has also been cast in “Neighbors 2,” which is a sequel to the $269 million hit comedy film last year.
The original movie focused on a couple whose lives were turned into a mess after declaring war against the fraternity that moved in next door, Variety noted.
The plot for the upcoming sequel remains under wraps. However, according to Variety’s sources, a sorority could cause problem to the couple this time.
All major cast members of the first movie – Efron, Franco, Seth Rogen, and Rose Byrne — will be returning for the sequel.
It can be recalled that Rogen publicly shamed Selena’s ex Justin Bieber in the past, ET noted.
Although the ex-lovers are far from being back together anytime soon, it is evident that Selena is still in Justin’s mind.
Last Sunday, Selena left the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards just before Bieber breaks down in tears after his performance.
Justin’s “What Do You Mean” music video debuted at VMAs and Gomez’s first name subtlety appeared on it.
The name “Selena” was spray-painted on a graffiti-filled wall in the background and it did not escape the eyes of the viewers. The wall also features the words “love” and “hope,” People magazine noted.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Justin said “I think a lot of my inspiration comes from [Selena]. It was a long relationship that created heartbreak and created happiness and a lot of different emotions that I wanted to write about. There’s a lot of that on this album.”
Gomez most recently filmed “The Big Short” and “In Dubious Battle” alongside James Franco, Variety wrote.
“Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” is scheduled for release in May 2016.
