“Scream Queens” season 2 promises to raise the heat index as the horror-comedy cast yet another hot actor.

Actor Taylor Lautner will join “Scream Queens” season 2 as Dr. Cassidy Cascade, Entertainment Weekly reported. However, his new role seemed to cast him as a hot villain this time around. Due to the doctor’s “bizarre medical condition,” many assume his connection to the string of unfortunate events at the hospital.

His character also gets involved with Chanel #3, played by actress Billie Lourd, the publication added. Lautner’s latest role could be the “perfect project” for him, according to the Geek Tyrant. The publication noted his string of films that didn’t quite pass muster. Hence, Ryan Murphy’s TV series could be his ticket to renewed fame, the publication remarked.

The 24-year-old actor took to Instagram to express his excitement, Mail Online revealed. He also posted a fanart of his character, Dr. Cassidy Cascade, that certainly did justice to his hotness.

Aside from Lautner, “Scream Queens” also cast actor John Stamos for season 2, Variety reported earlier. Stamos takes on the role of Dr. Brock Holt who might turn out to be another hot villain. While details about his character remain limited, the publication described Holt as the “brilliant” yet secretive head surgeon.

Deadline revealed that top brass at Fox network was instrumental in getting Stamos on the show. “Scream Queens” also marks the actor’s return to a hospital setting since his role on “ER” as Dr. Tony Gates, the publication added. Stamos teased about his role on Instagram.

Another actor who will join “Scream Queens” for season 2 is “Glee” alum James Earl, Vulture wrote. His character’s name is reportedly Candy Striper. However, it’s not known if he will be an actual candy striper given the hospital setting.

“Scream Queens” promised a fun, wild, and darker season based on teasers given away by the cast early on. Actress Jamie Lee Curtis recently teased that she might be the prey this time, Deadline wrote in a separate post. Curtis plays Dean Cathy Munsch who owns the hospital that is the background for this season. “Scream Queens” season 2 premieres on September 20 at 9 p.m. on Fox, EW revealed.
