Fans of PewDiePie who want to watch him suffer, rejoice! “Scare PewDiePie” season 2 is confirmed.

Skybound reveals that the YouTube VidCon keynote marked the official announcement of the show’s second season. Skybound, home of “Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman, is collaborating with PewDiePie in producing season 2. The site details that alongside Maker Studios, they also teamed up with the hit YouTube star for the online show’s first season.

“Scare PewDiePie” is only one of the few web series featured in YouTube Red. As per Sarah Mitroff of C|NET, YouTube Red is a monthly subscription service for users who want a better experience of the video-sharing site. According to the article, a main feature of Red is the absence of ads.

Meanwhile, GameSpot reports that YouTube’s announcement promised “even more thrills and chills” for “Scare PewDiePie’s” second season.

‘Scare PewDiePie’ season 2 release date, plot

Meanwhile, season 2’s potential plot is still a mystery. However, GameSpot shares a tweet from PewDiePie’s production banner–Revelmode–that is the closest thing to a teaser. The photograph shows a white board with “season 2 ideas” written on it. “Science teacher becomes meth dealer” and “dragons??” make it to the list.

These ideas are as vague and one is even reminiscent of “Breaking Bad“. This goes to show that anything can happen in season 2’s plot.

As far as speculation goes, season 2 could focus more on newer game releases.

In terms of release date, season 1 of “Scare PewDiePie” premiered on February 10 this year. If the series creators decide to follow television’s schedule format, season 2 will premiere on February 2017. However, this seems unlikely. A last quarter 2016 release date would be more logical.

In other related news, Deadline reports that YouTube went with a straight-to-series order for “Step Up”, based on the movies starring Channing Tatum. The new “Step Up” series premieres on YouTube Red in 2017. Another returning show in Red includes “Foursome” from AwesomenessTV. Meanwhile, “Rhett & Link’s Buddy System”, “Vlogumentary”, and an unnamed animated series are new shows coming to the platform.
