“Scandal” season 5 is about to premiere on Thursday (Sept. 24) and fans are thrilled to know if Olivia and Fitz will be together at last.

Season 4 concluded with Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) were seen kissing at the White House balcony. This was after Fitz kicked the First Lady, Mellie, out of the executive house following revelations that she had helped “command” and had something to do with the death of a busload of jurors in the B613 trial.

Here are some spoilers for this week’s episode 1.

There is definitely romance between Olivia and Fitz this season, the “Scandal” season 5 trailer revealed just that. The song “At Last” is playing in the background of the trailer and ABC also released a new poster that used an “At Last” tag line.

3. Will Olivia become the First Lady this season?

During ABC’s TGIT press tour panel, TV Line asked Shonda Rhimes if she has plan to make Olivia as First Lady, she admitted that the “concept is intriguing.”

4. What will happen to Jake?

Remember, Jake (Scott Foley) lets Olivia reunite with Fitz. The good news for Team Olake, Foley is not leaving the show.  “Scandal” creator Shonda Rhimes revealed to Entertainment Weekly that “Jake goes on a journey that might destroy everything.”

5. Will “Command” remains in jail?

In season four finale, Olivia sent her father, Rowan “Eli” Pope, in jail for embezzlement charges. Eli, also known as “Command,” has been known for his influence so it is most likely he will not be in jail for long. Do you really think anyone can take “Command”?

6. Team Gladiator

Rhimes admitted that the Gladiators have been sidelined in season four because they were “were busy healing Olivia.”

But Rhimes assured that fans will see the “the reconstitution” of the Olivia Pope and Associates, TV Line wrote.
