In a move to convert iPhone users to all things Samsung, the Korean tech-giant has launched an irresistible scheme for the Apple fans. iPhone users can get a taste of Android by trying out Samsung’s latest smartphones only for $1.
As reported by CNET, the latest super-sized Samsung phones are on offer, which include the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the Galaxy Note 5. Users can enjoy a 30-day trial run which includes a free data plan and is available across carriers, just for $1. Samsung has also thrown in the Galxay S6 Edge amongst the mix for users to choose from, as shared by TechRadar.
Among the lot, each of the latest Galaxy Note and Edge Plus smartphone features a 5.7-inch screen with 4GB RAM and comes powered by an Exynos 8-core processor. The snappers on each of the phones are 5MP front-facing and a 16MP back-end camera.
The promotion is an effort to boost the smartphone sales which have been on the decline. As noted by CNET, Samsung had reported a dip in its market shares during the last quarter. Furthermore, earlier this year its flagship S6 phone failed to meet sales expectations.
However, the “Ultimate Test Drive” promotion launched by the company seems to go the right way since the website is already out of phones: “Due to the overwhelming demand, we are temporarily out of test drive phones,” as quoted by TechRadar.
The site requests users to “Please keep checking back for available phones.”
The offer is valid for iPhone users only and those interested can head here to enjoy the offer.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and the Galaxy Note 5 will begin retailing in Australia on 4th September, at a price of $1099 and $1199, respectively.
