Samsung officially announced its “Unpacked” event which may very well be the stage to launch its new flagship product—the Samsung Note 5.

The annual event will be on August 13, 11:00 EDT at the Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center in New York City.

The event will also be live streaming on Samsung’s YouTube channel and on their website, Samsung Tomorrow.

Aside from the announcement made on its Facebook and sent to the media, not much has been revealed about the event.

If the tech giant will follow its previous routine, actual sales might be 2 weeks after the launch, The Varguy noted.

On the other hand, another Samsung’s crown jewel, “Galaxy S6 Edge Plus” is said to be included at the “Unpacked” launch. There is a strong possibility that the mobile device will appear with Note 5, NDTV reported.

Notably, the Korean company changed its direction in releasing their products. Replacing the venue and date from previous releases that were made at the Berlin IFA Trade Show every September shows that Samsung is willing to take risks. The company is launching their products ahead of Apple’s expected September unveiling of the iPhone 7,  The Varguy noted.

Here are the features and specs that is believed to be included on both of the devices, notes another NDTV report.

The Samsung Note 5 will sport the Exynos 7422 processor. It is also known to be the first phone to have a 4GB of RAM. It also includes a 5.7-inch QHD screen, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The design comes out on a superb thin screen bezel.

On the other hand, The Galaxy S6 Edge+ will contain the Exynos 7420 and 3GB RAM with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display. Its design will have a double edged curved screen, IBTimes reported.
