Samsung’s duo flagships, the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge, both feature powerhouse specifications that can make even the most graphic intensive apps run in high-quality fashion. As a testament to that, the South Korean tech giant has developed its own Game Launcher app that fully utilises both the flagship’s hardware to deliver an optimized mobile gaming experience.
1. The Game Launcher app is designed to encourage Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge users to play mobile games. Furthermore, Samsung has also announced that it is offering a game pack that features 16 freemium games through its Galaxy Apps store as a bonus.
2. The bonuses also include special in-app purchases by downloading a mobile game or accessing in-game content. Furthermore, even if Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge users downloaded the apps from the Google Play Store, the bonuses are still redeemable as long as they have the device. There really is no need for you to uninstall the app and go to Samsung’s store to download them.
3. The Game Launcher also features an icon that lets users disable alerts, as well as lock the capacitive buttons and the home key to make the gaming experience distraction free. Furthermore, users can even drop the frame rates to reduce the impact on the GPU of the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge. This feature is useful if you’re just playing a simple 2D game and you don’t want your handset’s battery life to suffer.
4. If you’re the type to record games and upload them up on YouTube or your favourite video platform to make gameplay footage, tutorials, and reviews, the Game Launcher app also features the record button that, as its name suggests, records gameplay videos. There’s no live streaming option, however but you can go with YouTube Gaming if you also want to stream your gameplay videos live.
