Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Specs Leak Confirms 256GB Storage, USB Type-C Port & More? Gear VR Launch Included?

There has been a lot of buzz surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 with loyalists eagerly awaiting its arrival and especially so in regions that were deprived of it predecessor, the Note 5.

If the rumours are anything to go by then the Note 6 does appear to be a mean machine. Sam Mobile had earlier confirmed that the upcoming smartphone from Samsung will be water and dust-resistant. This makes sense since its Galaxy S7 lineup also boasts of the same feature. And now, comes in the confirmation of the Note 6 specs. The report confirms that the offering will possess a USB Type-C port and a reversible connector. Furthermore, the Note 6 may not be landing alone, folks at Sam Mobile predict that the Samsung phablet could be landing with a new Gear VR featuring the USB Type-C connector. This would definitely add to the excitement for Samsung fans, however, more concrete information in the coming months should give a better idea of what to expect with regards to the launch event.

In the meantime, GizmoChina has also made some revelations about the Note 6, making it seem like a device that everyone should be watching out for. Reportedly, the Note 6 could sport a 5.8-inch display with 2K resolution and will come powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 823 chipset. Qualcomm’s talked-about chip the Snapdragon 823 is said to be 18% faster than the current Snapdragon 820 embedded in the latest Galaxy S7 lineup. The device is also expected to feature 256GB internal storage and 6GB RAM. The speed matched with that kind of storage capacity would definitely grab the attention of many. The phablet could also be housing a massive 4,200mAh battery to keep the device powered up for hours on end.
