Are Rob and Chyna looking for trouble when they decided to flaunt their expensive watches on social media? Rob Kardashian and his fiancee Blac Chyna decided to show off diamond-encrusted watches along with Chyna’s massive engagement ring just days after Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her hotel in Paris.
The members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan have been known to flaunt their wealth all over social media and their reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians. However, was it in bad taste that Rob and Chyna would do this just after Kim was targeted by robbers who managed to escape with nearly US$10 million worth of her gadgets and jewelry?
On Friday, Blac Chyna shared a video clip of herself and Rob, as they showed off his and hers watches. Both timepieces were dripping in diamonds. Chyna’s engagement ring was also in full view:
Kim Kardashian herself, has pretty much kept her social media silence since the robbery in the wee hours of Monday morning, Oct. 3. According to the Inquisir, fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld spoke to reporters during Paris Fashion Week and weighed in on the connection between social media and the robbery.
“If you are that famous and you put all your jewelry on the net, you go to hotels where nobody can come near to the room,” he said. “You cannot display your wealth and then be surprised that some people want to share it with you,” Lagerfeld added.
While the stars of the new E! Reality show Rob and Chyna are aware of the risks, they don’t appear to be daunted by the Paris incident. As of now, the investigation continues and none of the five suspects have been named. The men reportedly forced the concierge to lead them to Kardashian’s apartment, where they proceeded to tie her up and steal her valuables.
