While the Rihanna and Drake fling may have been a thing of the past, the teaser for their new music video for Rihanna’s “Anti” single, “Work,” proves otherwise. The 27 year old singer took the time on Twitter earlier today and announced the sneak peek.
The music video features the pair in the middle of a party, full of other couples dancing. Rihanna shows off some moves as she twerks upon the rapper. However, it was previously reported that Drake was actually the one making the moves on her during their video shoot. Rihanna apparently turned him down despite her admiration for his persistence, but reports about them being a couple still surfaced, as mentioned by MediaTakeOut.
Rumours about the two dating first surfaced in year 2010. It was reported that they started seeing each other after Rihanna’s breakup with singer Chris Brown. This led Brown to diss their new single and its music video.
“Work” is Rihanna and Drake’s third song collaboration. The pair first teamed up in the past in Rihanna’s “What’s My Name” back in 2010 and Drake’s “Take Care” in 2011.
The clip sparks new hope for Drake and Rihanna fans as the two reunite. It also reveals Rihanna living up to her “bad gal” status, as she hits the dance floor in a skimpy mesh dress over fishnet stockings. A lot of drinking and grinding are also involved.
The 30-second snippet is enough to prove that the music video will be steamy, and perhaps also enough to make up for Rihanna’s delayed “Anti” Tour and absence in the Grammys.
According to E! Online, the full clip of “Work” is expected to drop on Monday, February 23. For now, take a peek of the trailer below.
