“Quantico” star Priyanka Chopra attended the Time 100 gala on Tuesday. The actress was honoured as one of Time’s most influential people. Dressed in a power white suit and top knot, the “Baywatch villain” chatted about her role and politics at the event.
“How many people take on ‘The Rock?’” Chopra told E! News. “See, that’ll be a notch on my list,” she added. The movie is set to hit the theatres in May next year. And while she plays the villain, she will stay away from the red swimsuit that made Pamela Anderson famous.
“Not the red one because I’m the villain, but I might be in a swimsuit. Watch out for that! I think Baywatch will be a summer blockbuster and I’m not just saying it because I’m in it,” she elaborated. “I saw a bunch of scenes right now and it’s the funniest movie ever. Dwayne and Zac Efron have the best chemistry, and I come and interrupt their chemistry,” she added.
Priyanka Chopra’s ensemble got her top marks from fashion critics. Her look consisted of a power suit paired with black heels and a top knot. She went shirtless and braless, reveals Daily Mail. A crystal necklace finished her look.
The “Quantico” actress bumped into Aziz Ansari at the event, reveals Buzzfeed. She was also quizzed about her political views. She was asked about her opinion on Donald Trump calling for a ban on Muslim immigrants, states Time.
Chopra dubbed the ban as “primitive.” She criticised the 2016 GOP candidate and fellow Time awardee by saying that the fight against terrorism had grown complex. “I just think you can’t put a ban on anyone,” she said. “Generalising a type of people is really primitive. The fight against domestic terrorism has grown so complex that you can’t put a face on it anymore,” she added.
