“Quantico” star Priyanka Chopra allegedly tried to end her life and she almost killed herself if not for her former manager.
Chopra is facing malicious speculations after her former manager, Prakash Jaju, claims that she tried to end her life thrice while still in Bollywood, notes Design ‘n Trend. Although Jaju’s tweets were later deleted, Times of India was able to quote one as reads, “PC may look very strong now, but she was also very vulnerable in struggling days, tried to commit suicide two to three times but I managed to stop her.”
Aside from these claims, the ex-manager also revealed that Chopra’s relationship with her boyfriend Assem Merchant is on the rocks. Jaju went on to continue that in one of their fights, the actress drove all the way to Mumbai’s Vasai area where she tried to kill herself.
Priyanka Chopra’s mother Madhu Chopra slammed these malicious allegations by stating that Jaju is a liar and has no credibility for telling the stories since he spent some time in jail. Madhu Chopra reminded people that the star terminated her business with the manager which has lead to a “sour note” and a series of lawsuits.
Chopra’s father Ashok filed a complaint against Jaju for invading the privacy of their daughter and spent 67 days behind bars in 2008. However, Chopra did not confirm nor deny the news about her suicidal attempt.
In other “Quantico” news, actress Kelly Rutherford revealed that Shelby’s mother faked death “to protect her” as per TV Line report. During the interview, she was asked why the character needs to experience the turn of events.
“They felt that the only way to protect her was to do what they did, in a way, and for her to somewhat have a normal life,” the actress explained. “It was probably a very difficult choice to make for them.”
“Quantico” airs on Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
