Sony is gearing up for the final stretch of Summer with a new PlayStation Plus feature and its last Flash Sale this season. Gamers will definitely enjoy what’s left of August as it announces the new games that may be available for free this September 2015, as well as blockbuster titles at just $8 each.
Read on to find out what Sony has to offer.
PS Plus “Vote to Play”
PlayStation is putting the power to choose in the hands of its avid gamers. Subscribers of PS Plus may vote until tomorrow, August 24, for the game they want to receive for free next month.
Titled “Vote to Play”, the new feature kicked off last August 13 with three titles fans can vote for. Whichever will win the votes will be a free game for PlayStation 4, while the other two may still be offered at a discounted rate, noted GameSpot.
“We’ve teamed up with some extremely talented developers for the first Vote to Play, offering you three really exciting games to choose from,” PlayStation wrote on its official blog.
The three games are “Armello”, “Grow Home” and “Zombie Vikings” — all are available for PS4.
“Armello” is developed by Australian independent game studio, League of Geeks. A role-playing strategy board-game, it has a 9 out of 10 star rating from Steam.
Developed by Ubisoft Reflections, “Grow Home” also has a 9-star rating and features the adventures of a Botanical Utility Droid (BUD).
From Zoink Games, “Zombie Vikings” is a four player co-op title with a mission to “retrieve The Eye and make peace with their rotten pasts,” its site revealed.
Voting for the games is until August 24 at 8:30am with announcement of the winner happening after.
PS Store Flash Sale
PlayStation Store is offering its final flash sale of the season, offering games at just $8 each.
“Head over to PlayStation Store through the weekend for up to 80 percent off titles like How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition, Resident Evil 4, and Rogue Legacy, as well as films like Pacific Rim, Mortdecai, Godzilla, and many more,” PlayStation Blog wrote.
The PS Store Flash Sale will end on August 24, Monday, at 9am Pacific.
