A new month is almost here and that means a new batch of PS Plus free games are coming out soon. While there’s no official announcement yet, we look at the rumors swirling for August 2016’s lineup.

The Playstation free games lineup for July include Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines and Prince of Persia: Revelation for PS Vita owners. Meanwhile, PS3 gamers have Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood and Fat Princess for free. Finally, Furi and Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell are available for PS4 users. Looking at this lineup may clue in to the potential titles Sony considers for August.

We discuss some of the buzzing titles below.

PS Plus free games rumors

A report from PlayStation Universe details that Yakuza 5 tops the rumored titles for August. According to the source, the rumor stems from Sony’s mistake in posting the game for free at the PlayStation Store. The game has since been removed as a free title and posted with its original price. However, that didn’t stop others from downloading the game before its removal.

Due to this, PlayStation Universe cites that the game built some new interest towards gamers. Hence, Sony may decide to include Yakuza 5 in the August lineup.

Aside from Yakuza 5, another intriguing title mentioned in the rumored free games is Battlefield 4. The mention of this title comes from MNR Daily which says that an AAA title could make it to the list. Although the idea seems far-fetched, anything is possible at this point.

Gaming fans also have more to offer through the PlayStation forums community. Other titles offered by users include The Last of Us 2 and 3 and Resident Evil HD. Red Dead Redemption also came up as a potential PS3 free game.

These titles are simply predictions and not confirmed; hence, it’s best to take them with a grain of salt. Fans don’t have to wait long, though, as the August 2016 lineup announcement comes in a week or so.
