The much awaited sequel of “Prometheus” is set to be released in 2016. The alien invasion continues as cast and another new title has been reportedly revealed.
According to Vine Report, the release date of the 2nd movie, “Prometheus 2”, will be on March 4, 2016. The film information can be seen on Internet Movie Database (IMDb). However, the plot for the much awaited Sci-Fi movie is still under the wraps.
As for the title, which has been previously rumored to be “Prometheus 2: Hell on earth” was debunked by Scified.com.
“Revealing the film’s working title is not something Scott would do, especially to some no-name journalist. If Fox wanted to reveal the title, they would go to some big-name media outlet so it could get as much coverage as possible,” as we quote the source.
Another rumor to debunk is the idea that “Prometheus 2” will be set on Earth. According to Scified.com, Shaw clearly revealed to David that she doesn’t want to go Earth.
“I don’t want to go back, I want to go where they came from,” Shaw said in the first movie. “I am still searching”.
According to the site, the character wants to “explore new worlds and discover Paradise, the Engineer homeworld – in search for the answers she was denied in the first film.”
The site also noted the possibility that “Prometheus 2” will be titled “Prometheus: Paradise”, “Prometheus 2: Paradise” or simply “Paradise”.
This title was also confirmed by the movie’s IMDb page which listed that “Prometheus 2” also has a working title “Paradise”.
Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are confirmed to be reprising their roles on the upcoming sequel. Ridley Scott will be returning on the director’s chair as well. Meanwhile, Michael Green and Jack Paglen are both responsible for the screenplay.
Actor Rik Barnett is also reportedly under negotiations for the film.
