“Prison Break” season 5 posted the first images of Wentworth Miller on the set.
Most of the pictures posted online from the set of “Prison Break” season 5 featured key cast members except Michael. When filming began, Dominic Purcell and Sarah Wayne Callies actively posted snaps to tease fans. Hence, the recent upload certainly caught everyone’s attention. Miller’s absence on social media in relation to the series sparked the hashtag, #wheresMichael? However, he’s back. Moreover, the images could hold clues to his character’s story in season 5.
Based on the two behind-the-scenes images, the publication posited respective theories for each. The picture on the left showed Miller dressed in a keffiyeh. Yet more exciting about it is the backdrop that appears to be outside a cell, Melty noted. Hence, this might suggest that Lincoln’s plan to rescue his brother was successful. The first trailer for season 5 showed that Michael was alive albeit locked up in a foreign country. Lincoln recruited T-Bag, C-Note, and Sucre to help carry out his plan.
However, the picture on the right raised some concern about Michael’s possible condition. While the bruises on his face might be due to creative makeup application, it did call to mind the real-life injuries sustained by Purcell on set. The freak accident on set required over a hundred stitches. Yet the actor considered himself lucky to be alive. Deadline caught up with the Australian actor at a party for Bausele’s US launch. Purcell shared details about the storyline and Michael’s current situation.
“It’s tying into what’s going on in the world today with terrorism. The show is taking place in Yemen; we’re dealing with ISIS and ISA, and obviously we left off with Michael presumably dead. He wasn’t, he ended up working for this organization. It got to the point where he couldn’t do it anymore, and they threw him in a jail in Yemen to change his mind. He didn’t change his mind, they set him up,” Purcell revealed. The actor described the series to be a combination of “American Sniper” and “Bourne Identity.” Hence, Purcell is certain “Prison Break” season 5 would blow away fans.
