The small screens are getting ready to welcome Prison Break season 5. Titillating the fans, actor Dominic Purcell has also posted images showing off his inked arms. Interestingly, his tattoos hold resemblance to the maps and blueprints  what Michael Scofield had on his body for the last four seasons. Is there any kind of connection?

After witnessing a thumping success in last four seasons, in January Fox picked up the show for a fifth season renewal. The gripping thriller episodes are still resonating in the upcoming episodes of Prison Break season 5.

The series follows the story of two brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield.  Dominic Purcell’s Lincoln Burrows is a high school drop-out and a convicted criminal, who was wrongfully accused of and charged with the murder of Terence Steadman, the brother of the Vice President of the United States.

Wentworth Miller’s Michael Scofield is an engineer who chalks out a plan in order to help his brother to escape prison.  He deliberately gets himself sent to the same prison to break the both of them out, from the inside out. To make things handy, he had the prison’s blueprint on his whole body as tattoos.

Michael Scofield’s End in Season 4:

We saw Michael Scofield meeting his last in Prison Break season 4 while breaking his beloved Sara Tancredi out of the Miami-Dade county penitentiary.

What could we expect to see in Prison Break season 5?

Michel’s Return in Prison Break season 5:

Right from the beginning Michael has been a pillar of the show. So the show creator Paul Scheuring applied some tricks to bring him back in the next installment. A recently released official sneak-peek revealed Michael Scofield is alive and serving his sentence in the Ogygia Prison in Yemen for his involvement with ISIL. Good news indeed for his fans!

It’s a role reversal!

Robert Knepper ‘s Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell  will break the news to elder brother Lincoln. T-Bag  is a cunning, violent, and manipulative psychopath who has become a fan-favorite character from the show during the last four season. After receiving the news from T-Bag, Lincoln set off to gather the other members of the Fox River Eight to help Michael escape from prison.

The Tattoo Connection:

Sources like Christian Times however doubts that Lincoln Burrow’s tattoos might have some connection with Michael’s freedom.  The elder brother is more likely to follow the footsteps of Michael to get him out of the jail. Are these the maps and blueprints of the Ogygia Prison?

For now, these are only speculations. So let us wait till the show airs to learn the reality. Prison Break season 5 is scheduled to debut in early 2017 and air Tuesdays at 9:00 pm.
